ArcelorMittal has launched a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune as part of its plan to expand technology and business support operations in India. The company said the centre will act as a strategic hub for its global digital and business services.
The Pune GCC will provide support in digital technologies, information systems, data analytics, cybersecurity, finance, procurement, human resources and project management. The facility will help improve operational efficiency and enable the use of advanced analytics and scalable digital platforms across ArcelorMittal’s worldwide operations.
The company said it chose India to tap into the country’s large and skilled workforce. Senior leaders at the launch highlighted the importance of young professionals and continuous learning as technology changes rapidly across industries.

Nick Puri, group chief information officer and chief information security officer, said the Pune and Hyderabad centres will develop Centres of Excellence and support global teams with advanced technology solutions.
